The embattled national secretary of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola should not be allowed to return to the party because he has embarked on a mission to ensure that President Goodluck Jonathan fails in his second term bid in 2015, alleges a chieftain of the party in Osun State, Chief Abiola Ogundokun.

This follows the recent visit by Oyinlola to the president at Aso Villa in a bid to return to the ruling party.

Ogundokun, a member of the Goodluck Support Group, the non-governmental political pressure group that championed the election of President Jonathan and Vice President Namadi Sambo at the April 2011 polls, expressed “utter shock and embarrassment that Oyinlola, who has serially allegedly worked openly against the success of President Jonathan and the PDP out of vengeance for his loss of Osun State governorship election to Engr. Rauf Aregbesola of the then Action Congress of Nigeria, has the effrontery to return to the PDP without shame.”

According to him,” Jonathan’s crime as far as Oyinlola is concerned, is that the president did not influence the judiciary in his favour during the electoral legal fireworks that pitted him against Aregbesola.”

Ogundokun, the publisher and editor-in-chief of Conscience International Magazine, added, “it is only a man without a conscience that would resort to Oyinlola’s brand of dangerous politicking, fired only by selfish individual interest that is detrimental to collective national aspirations.”
